Hapé Hour is the new Happy Hour!
- A community sharing circle with Sel Sarkin
Hapé (or Rapé) is an all-natural Shamanic snuff medicine used by the ancient tribes of South America. It is made of pulverized plants such as camphor, cinnamon, tonka bean, clover and mint, and mixed with alkaline ashes. This is combined with pure Amazonian tobacco, which is revered as a sacred plant, to produce clarity and widening of perception.
The Hapé is blown into the nostril by a practitioner who uses a wooden ceremonial pipe called a Tepe. There is typically a mild burning sensation which lasts a few seconds, followed by a calming and grounding effect in the body. Benefits include releasing emotional, physical and spiritual illnesses, paves the way for detoxifying the body, cleans out excess mucus and bacteria. Provides increased focus, presence and intuition. Hapé is a wonderful medicine to enhance meditation. It is legal in the US and around the world.
Hapé Hour:
The evening will begin with stretching and dancing.
After the Hapé is given, we will sit in silent meditation for 10 minutes.
This will be followed by a sharing circle where each person will have a chance to share any insights, concerns, issues and/or challenges they are facing and wish to receive support with. Come to unwind your mind and nurture your soul at the end of the day, meditate, reflect, and meet new friends.
Hapé medicine is included (or bring your own pipe and blend), refreshments will be provided.
