In January 2016 I found PsychedeLiA: Psychedelic Integration, Los Angeles with an aim to connect the psychedelic community in LA and introduce educational and experiential modalities of psychedelic integration.

PsychedeLiA’s mission purpose:

We are a collective of professionals and peers interested in the potential psychological and spiritual healing properties of psychedelics.

PsychedeLiA now hosts two series of salon-style integration workshops, educational classes and contribution-based community integration circles across the greater Los Angeles area and online (see calendar and event descriptions below). The events are open to anyone that is curious about, is thinking about experimenting or has experimented with psychedelic substances and plant medicines. No previous experience with psychedelics is required to participate, but you must be over 18 to attend.

Currently some of my integration seminars are offered through PsychedeLiA. All other events are facilitated by beloved core members of our community and guest presenters. All facilitators are experienced and well-versed with psychedelic states, and incorporate their own tried and true integration and healing modalities into their practice.

No illegal substances are used/served at our events, and we allow entrance only to those who appear to be in an UN-altered state (not intoxicated). There is time to connect with other like-minded community members and with the facilitator.

Meet the PsychedeLiA Integration Team

Shiri M. Godasi is the founder of PsychedeLiA. She is a psychedelic educator, writer & integration coach working with individuals and groups before and after entheogenic journeys, empowering to cultivate a solid, sustainable connection with our inner healer. Her approach draws from transpersonal/depth psychology, Eastern mindfulness and shamanic healing modalities to fuse ancient wisdom with modern & practical practices. As an advocate of psychedelic integration and cognitive liberty she is humbled to support others in psycho-spiritual transformation and witness the local psychedelic renaissance.

Greg Lawrence is an active member of the southern California plant medicine community and energy worker who believes that spiritual development and personal growth go hand in hand, that psychedelics and entheogens can be effective tools in the pursuit of both, and that community support can be a valuable component in the integration of other states of consciousness. He credits plant medicine, psychotherapy and the support of his family and peers with helping him turn his life around after personal tragedy turned it upside-down a few years ago. Greg is honored to be a part of PsychedeLiA's own growth by facilitating the West San Fernando Valley and Santa Monica integration circles.

Celisa Flores

Dr. Celisa Flores found herself drawn into integration while reconnecting with her family lineage of plant medicine healers. Drawing upon formal and experiential training as a mother, therapist, yoga, and mindfulness instructor, birth and end-of-life doula, she has found holding space for difficult transitions to come naturally. An advocate for body autonomy and safe and sacred exploration of consciousness, Dr. Flores has supported healing, recovery and transformation from challenging experiences. She gratefully expanded community integration circles to Orange County on the fourth Sunday of each month (adjustments for holiday weekends). Dr. Flores supports individual coaching online and in person for personal growth and development, integration, and harm reduction.

Sel Sarkin studied Electrical Engineering with Post Graduate Degree in Digital Architecture. He became interested in Medical Electronics and did diagnostic research, development of Pacemakers and design of Electro magnetic Energy Machines (EMEM), also known as the Rife machine. In the early 80's, he became interested in Meditation and Psychology. This led him to a breathing technique known as Rebirthing, developed by Leonard Orr, and believes that breathing techniques could be used to purge traumatic childhood memories that had been repressed. He ran breathwork workshops and included various Improvisational dance forms such as Free Style dance and contact Improvisation. He later studied Acupressure, Massage, Cranio Sacral Balancing and Reiki. In 2010 he was approached by people who were reluctant to use chemotherapy to treat cancer. After hearing reports that the use of a potent extract of cannabis oil was having dramatic results with cancer he felt a calling to work with this medicine to see if it actually was effective. From there the world of Plant Medicines opened up and he began to research the nature and properties of the different Entheogens used to help people on their spiritual journey. Today Sel continues to consult with people with their health issues and the use of these medicines to help resolve and heal them from often very debilitating conditions.

JOHN SAUL

John Saul found himself rebuilding his life after having it turned upside-down a few years ago. In late 2012, he was struck by systemic sclerosis, or “scleroderma,” a debilitating, painful, incurable life-threatening illness. Through many means, including participation as a study subject in the MAPS-sponsored Phase II clinical trial of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for the treatment of anxiety due to life-threatening illness, John has been able to emerge out of the darkest place one could find themselves and rebuild his fortitude and his life. He hopes that by sharing his story of psychedelic healing he can show others that that it is possible to choose life over death, become your own cure, and meet the resulting challenges with love and an empathetic heart. John continues to explore and work with a wide variety of healing modalities including meditation, yoga and fitness, and is fascinated by witnessing the transformation of people who embark on therapeutic psychedelic journeys. John is a peer facilitator at the Santa Monica integration circles.

Paul Antico

Paul Antico is an experienced traveler of inner space while working with psychedelics, Jungian Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Rosen Method Bodywork, Family Constellations, Medicine Dance, and more. When he was a teenage recreational user of psychedelics, he was the go-to person when others were having difficult experiences. Paul appreciates the dedication and time required for lasting changes that lead to being more fully present and able to hold safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate space for oneself and others. A very active member in the Los Angeles psychedelic community, he is one of PsychedeLiA’s circle facilitators, an active member of the Los Angeles Medicinal Plant Society (LAMPS) and the Aware Project. He was also one of the producers of the two-day Los Angeles Psychedelic Science Symposium in June 2018 at UCLA and is currently working on the next one scheduled in 2020. More yet, he is the Communications Director for Decriminalize California, a student of Gabor Mate’s Compassionate Inquiry Practitioner Training Program as well as the Rosen Bodywork Practitioner Training Program, and the Applying the Polyvagal Theory to Improve Client Outcomes. An avid sailor and mindful ecstatic dancer, Paul is constantly striving to expand his knowledge, education, and training to expand and enhance his work in the service of others.
